How to remove and clean the SELECT SERIES MALDI hexapole

To remove and clean the SELECT SERIES MALDI hexapole:

1. Close the isolation valve.
2. Vent the source.
3. Open the MALDI source door.
4. Squeeze the trigger at the top to release the hexapole, and slide the hexapole out using the guide rail.

4. Clean and sonicate the hexapole with with an appropriate solvent (i.e. a solvent that will dissolve the matrix being used).
5. Dry the hexapole with nitrogen.
6. Engage the guide rail an re-insert the hexapole until you hear a click.
