"Left [or right] valve home h/w fault" error on ACQUITY Column Managers - WKB199069

SYMPTOMS

• "Left (right) valve home h/w fault" during initialization

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Column Manager
• Column Oven

CAUSE

Faulty valve drive assembly

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Swap the left and right valve drive assembly to confirm the part is faulty.
2. If the error occurs on the opposite side after swapping, replace the valve drive assembly (700005163).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Also, confirm that the firmware of the column manager is up to date with the driver pack installed.
