ZQ/Quattro Micro won't pump down following vacuum error - WKB96370
Article number: 96370
SYMPTOMS
- ZQ/Quattro Micro vented due to vacuum fault (such as rotary pump failure) and displays a steady red vacuum light on the instrument
- Tune page displays "Vented" state but system does not respond to pump command
- Power-cycling the instrument allows the system to pump down, but Tune page still displays "Vented" state even though vacuum pressure and turbo speed are OK
- VacOK signal is not present to allow system to go into Operate mode
ENVIRONMENT
- ZQ/Quattro Micro
CAUSE
Vacuum error causes hangups in instrument electronics and MassLynx software, which are not cleared by simply rebooting the instrument.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Close MassLynx software and reboot the acquisition PC to clear the software errors.
- Power-cycle the instrument and wait for the EPC to fully reboot. (Use ping epc -t and telnet epc commands to monitor boot cycle.)
- Open MassLynx software. System should now pump down satisfactorily and show "Vacuum OK" status once Pirani pressure and turbo speeds are in the correct range.
