When placed into operate the Source temperature does not rise when using Xevo TQ-S micro - WKB90568

SYMPTOMS

• Source temperature readback is 24 °C and does not rise when instrument is in Operate mode
• Red LED square found on tune page diagnostics
• Error message when hovering over red LED is "Source heater rise trip, less than 12 °C increase in 3 minutes"
• Resistance across all heater cartridge elements measures 20 ohms

• Xevo TQ-S micro

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Vent the Xevo TQ-S micro.
2. Close MassLynx.
3. Power-off the Xevo TQ-S micro.
4. Wait approximately 1 minute for system to completely power-down.
5. Power-on the Xevo TQ-S micro. Allow sufficient time for system to initialize.
6. Open MassLynx.
7. Pump down the Xevo TQ-S micro.
8. Put system in Operate mode.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: If system is already vented and off to allow for measuring the resistance across the heater cartridges, follow steps 2 and 5 through 8 after ion block has been reassembled.
