SYMPTOMS

• Desolvation temperature fails to settle during an injection
• Source recognition changes from ESI to unknown

ENVIRONMENT

• Any MS with Xevo ESI source

CAUSE

Bad contact between the ESI probe and the probe adjuster

FIX or WORKAROUND

Clean the ESI and the Probe adjuster contacts with paper and MeOH.
