ANSWER

  • The capillary voltage range in positive ion mode for the QDa is 0.3 to 1.5 kV.
  • The capillary voltage range in negative ion mode for the QDa is 0.3 to 0.8 kV.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The ACQUITY QDa Detector is designed to be used at higher flow rates (0.2 mL/min and above), and the capillary voltage range is less than the voltage required to ionize samples at low flow rates (normally 2.5 – 3.5 kV). Therefore, the ACQUITY QDa cannot be used for detection in low flow rate experiments.
