ACQUITY TQD with Alcatel Adixen ACP 40 vacuum pump vents randomly - WKB63928

SYMPTOMS

• TQD with Adixen ACP 40 oil-less vacuum pump vents randomly 
• Error: Low Turbo Speed
• Error: Operate Trip (Low Vacuum Level)

ENVIRONMENT

• TQ Detector
• ACQUITY TQD
• SQ Detector
• Pfeiffer Adixen ACP 40 (formerly Alcatel Adixen)

CAUSE

A plastic noise shield (Adixen NRC 28.40) over the pump is causing the pump to overheat and trip the thermal safety switch.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Remove the noise shield that covers the Adixen pump.

If the issue persists replace the pump.

Note: The Pfeiffer/Alcatel ACP40 Roots Pump 725000534 has been discontinued.

The replacement would be a: 

186006347         Leybold SV40BI w/Frequency Converter 

and the pump will need at least a relay cable in order to work.
