SYMPTOMS

Low signal intensity for both sample and reference.

ENVIRONMENT

• SYNAPT G2
• SYNAPT G2 MS/HDMS

• SYNAPT G2-Si

CAUSE

Incorrect trap gas flow - zero flow.        

Incorrect setting on tune page or dry cylinder.    

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Confirm that settings are correct - manual override may be active in tune page used for acquisition. Default gas flow is 2.0.
2. Confirm that the pressure of Argon supply is 0.5 bar.
