Cannot start vacuum system on the SQ Detector 2 - WKB55409

SYMPTOMS

• SQ Detector 2 (SQD2) vacuum system found off
• Cannot restart vacuum system
• Rebooting system does not resolve
• Found: MS status "Instrument Present"
• Found: Operate LED on SQD2 is RED

ENVIRONMENT

• SQ Detector 2
• Xevo TQD

CAUSE

Partial communication issue between MassLynx PC and embedded PC (EPC)

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close MassLynx.
2. Reboot the MassLynx PC. Log in to Windows but do not start MassLynx.
3. Power-off the SQD2. Wait one minute.
4. Power-on the SQD2. Wait for the Operate LED to go from RED to OFF.
5. When the Operate LED turns off, launch MassLynx.
6. Verify that the MS status is "Not Scanning".
7. Open the Tune page. From the menus, go to Vacuum > Pump.
