TOF turbo speed does not increase during pump down - WKB52330

SYMPTOMS

• Instrument is vented

• When trying to pump down, the TOF turbo speed stays at 2%

• Pump fail vent to clear message

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo G2-XS QTof

• Xevo G3 QTof

CAUSE

Turbo controller in error

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Turn electronics off (leave pump override switch on AUTO).
2. Remove the main power cord from the power socket in the wall.
3. Leave the MS without power for 15 minutes.
4. Plug the main power in the socket.
5. Wait two minutes.
6. Turn electronics switch to ON.
7. Wait until EPC boot sequence finishes.
8. Pump down the instrument.
9. Verify that all turbo speeds go higher than 80%.
