QDa divert valve is not switching toward the end of a run - WKB51108

SYMPTOMS

• Divert valve works correctly early in an injection
• Toward the end of a run, it does not switch

ENVIRONMENT

• QDa detector
• MassLynx
• Empower

CAUSE

The divert valve is controlled by the MS Method, and it must be switched within the MS Method runtime. For example, if your MS Method runtime is 5.0 min, the divert valve does not move if the switch time is set to 5.5 min.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Extend the runtime of the MS Method, decrease the switch time of the divert valve, or Add another MS method for divert valve.
