When acquiring with a sequence table, the tune page crashes and an error appears - WKB50841

SYMPTOMS

• The MALDI can acquire without an HDI method; no problem occurs if a standard spot plate is used and acquisition is from the sequence table
• When the user opens the MS editor, specifies "user defined", and loads the .pat file, the MS editor crashes
• The .pat file shows the error "Please correct the parameters in the Acquire tab first"

ENVIRONMENT

• MALDI HDI v1.4
• MassLynx 4.2 SCN 983
• SYNAPT G2-Si

CAUSE

The problem is possibly related to the installation of some Microsoft Office applications.

FIX or WORKAROUND

 Instead of running the method using the sample list pattern file setting, copy the pattern file name from the sample list and put it into the method file.
