Sudden loss of resolution on SYNAPT G2-Si - WKB49063

SYMPTOMS

• Sudden loss of resolution found in runs; earlier runs that day are fine
• Resolution in positive resolution mode found to be 3k; in high resolution mode the reading was 6k

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• SYNAPT G2-Si

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the tune page and go to the Setup menu.
2. Select "System View".
3. Enter the password:  access
4. Next, go to the File menu.
5. Choose "Load System Settings (from PC)".
6. Determine if resolution returns by infusing a sample.
7. When satisfied, go back to the Setup menu and select for System View to exit out of this view. (Note: You will be prompted to do a System Save. Make an appropriate choice.)
