To enhance negative mode signal strength with IonKey.

Generally, capillary voltage optimizes lower in negative mode than it does in positive mode. For the best results, tune low to high.
Squirt the emitter tip with methanol to clean off foreign debris. Foreign debris in negative mode is much more detrimental to sensitivity than in positive mode.
Be cautious if the instrument is also used for positive mode acquisitions. Any lingering acid from a positive mode acquisition can also be a significant ion suppressor.
Keep in mind that negative mode acquisitions have less signal strength than positive mode acquisitions, but there is also less noise.
