OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Safely shut down the LCMS system in preparation for a planned power outage.
ENVIRONMENT
- MassLynx
- TQD
- SQD
- Xevo TQD
- SQD2
- Xevo TQ
- Xevo TQ-S
- Xevo TQ-XS
PROCEDURE
- Turn off LC flow into the source.
- Put the MS into Standby mode.
- Turn off all gas flows.
- Vent the instrument (from the Tune Page / Vacuum pull-down menu, choose 'Vent'). In Diagnostics tab monitor the Turbos speed and await until those drops to about 2%.
- Once the system has vented, close MassLynx.
- Power-off the MS.
- Unplug the main power cable to the MS.
- Power-off the LC modules using power switch on the front of each module.
- Shut down the PC.
