Low mass peak or peaks missing from calibration Xevo G2-XS - WKB3053

SYMPTOMS

• Peak at 90 m/z is missing when calibrating with sodium formate.

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo G2-XS
• MassLynx

CAUSE

The collision cell RF was not reduced to 150 with a gain of 10.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the MS Tune page.
2. Browse to the RF Settings option. Depending on the version of MassLynx, this may be under the System or Setup menu. See example screenshots:
3. Set the Collision volts to 150 and the Gain to 10 (shown here are the default settings):

4. Click Update, and then close the window.

5. Save the Tune page.
