Issue with DRE function on Xevo G3 QTof with waters_connect - WKB266490

SYMPTOMS

• Comparing performance between Xevo G2-XS QTof and Xevo G3 QTof, DRE % attenuation set on the tune page is not found applied to data after acquiring data from the waters_connect UNIFI analysis center
• DRE % attenuation is seen going back to the default 99.9%

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo G3 QTof
• waters_connect

CAUSE

No software or hardware issue found

FIX or WORKAROUND

The DRE function was working as expected. In waters_connect, the selected DRE % (i.e., 2.5%) attenuation is applied, but the attenuated intensity is multiplied by the attenuating factor 40 (= 1/(2.5/100)), which makes the full intensity of signal displayed again on the data.

We can display and access to the attenuated data only after creating a custom field that removes the attenuating factor.
