No communications with the SQ Detector 2 after MassLynx workstation is put into sleep mode - WKB259039

SYMPTOMS

• MassLynx workstation put into sleep mode
• In MassLynx, no communication with the SQD2; ms status = no instrument
• SQD2 does not show in the MS Console
• Communications with the ACQUITY UPLC components are OK
• Rebooting the EPC via the reset button does not resolve

ENVIRONMENT

• SQ Detector 2
• MassLynx

CAUSE

Corrupted IP address

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close MassLynx and the ACQUITY MS Console.
2. Open the Waters DHCP Server Configuration. 
3. Remove the IP address for the SQD2.
4. Restart the MassLynx workstation.
5. Open the Waters DHCP Server Configuration.
6. Push the reset button on the SQD2. Wait for the chime.
7. Open MassLynx and confirm that Not Scanning status can be seen in the MS Console.
