Xevo lost communication error - WKB237601

SYMPTOMS

  • Xevo TQD error
  • Unable to ping EPC
  • MassLynx sample window "no instrument" on the bottom-right message center
  • MS is vented

ENVIRONMENT

  • Xevo TQD
  • Xevo TQ-S micro

CAUSE

Communication issue

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Turn off the Xevo TQD and the UPLC.
  2. Reboot the PC.
  3. Turn on the sample manager and let it fully boot up.
  4. Turn on the Xevo TQD.
  5. Open the command window and type ping epc -t.
  6. When the EPC is fully booted up, turn on the rest of the UPLC components, and then open MassLynx. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: This situation can arise if the EPC is rebooted while the MassLynx workstation and/or the ACQUITY UPLC system are powered-off.
