Xevo lost communication error - WKB237601

SYMPTOMS
- Xevo TQD error
- Unable to ping EPC
- MassLynx sample window "no instrument" on the bottom-right message center
- MS is vented
ENVIRONMENT
- Xevo TQD
- Xevo TQ-S micro
CAUSE
Communication issue
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Turn off the Xevo TQD and the UPLC.
- Reboot the PC.
- Turn on the sample manager and let it fully boot up.
- Turn on the Xevo TQD.
- Open the command window and type ping epc -t.
- When the EPC is fully booted up, turn on the rest of the UPLC components, and then open MassLynx.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Note: This situation can arise if the EPC is rebooted while the MassLynx workstation and/or the ACQUITY UPLC system are powered-off.
