Automatic calibration fails for NaICs on a SYNAPT - WKB222124
Article number: 222124
SYMPTOMS
- Automatic calibration gives variable results when run on the SYNAPT
- Sometimes passes with <1 ppm error, other times a >200 ppm error is observed
ENVIRONMENT
- MassLynx
- SYNAPT G2
- SYNAPT G2-S
- SYNAPT G2-Si
- IntelliStart
CAUSE
An automatic calibration on NaICs is know to sometimes pick the wrong peak near 700 m/z, and it is noted in the reference file for the compound.
FIX or WORKAROUND
Run an assisted calibration. If the wrong peak is picked, ensure that it is manually changed to the correct peak. The error for the calibration should be <1 ppm.
