SYMPTOMS

• ACQUITY TQD console system status error: "Waters SQ Detector 2: Positive and negative instrument resolutions invalid"

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• TQD MS

CAUSE

Software was just re-installed and IntelliStart needs to be completed to set resolution and calibration.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Run IntelliStart beginning with Unit Resolution, and then run with Low Resolution and High Resolution as necessary using the NaCI standard solution.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the instrument does not need the resolution and calibration to be re-run at the moment, you can clear the error flagging in the IntelliStart configuration and be able to run the instrument.
