OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Replace a faulty diaphragm backing pump on a standard ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector or RADIAN ASAP Direct Mass Detector

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector
• RADIAN ASAP Direct Mass Detector

PROCEDURE

1. Turn off the QDa Mass Detector/RADIAN ASAP Direct Mass Detector. 
2. Remove the 6-mm o.d. tubing from the 6-mm elbow and the pump power and control connection at the back of the detector, as highlighted in the picture.
3. Gently lift the diaphragm pump upwards off the bracket that secures it to the back of the QDa Mass Detector
4. Mount the new/refurbished diaphragm pump on the QDa.
5. Reinstall the 6-mm o.d. tubing and pump power and control connection at the back of the detector.
6. Turn on the QDa.
