OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Power-off or shut down a QDa detector.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector
• Empower
• MassLynx

PROCEDURE

1. Stop the mobile phase system flow to the QDa detector.
2. Take the detector out of Operate mode and put it into Standby mode using the control software.
3. Turn off the QDa using its power button.
4. The system should automatically turn off the nitrogen gas and vent in about five minutes.
