Random data dropout with Xevo G2-S in UNIFI - WKB17462

SYMPTOMS

• During acquisitions, the baseline drops for an interval and there is no data for that time
• The chromatogram shows a straight line from the point of dropout to the point data resumes
• Occurs with LC injection and direct infusion with any scan times
• Error observed in Hyperterminal log: "(wtADCAcqTask): ** Data not transferred"
• Replacing SATA drive and testing new ADC PCB do not resolve the issue

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI
• Xevo G2-S

CAUSE

Network cable is plugged into the second port on the instrument LAN card.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Remove the network cable from the instrument LAN card.
