ANSWER
When doing calibration and detector setup – Use a tune page with low desolvation temperature and low desolvation gas flow (for example, 200 °C and 400 L/hr).
When doing lockspray setup – Use the tune page that will be used for the LC-MS runs (that is, high desolvation temperature and gas flow). Be sure to have the LC pump flowing.
