CAUSE
High sodium, salt, or soap contamination in the source enclosure area
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Wipe down the source enclosure with methanol.
- Infuse 90/10 water/methanol + 1% formic acid.
- Clean the cone and baffle (if there is one).
- clean the ion block if needed.
