QTof Premier's source temperature will not go above 30 °C - WKB16429

SYMPTOMS

• The readback for the source temperature will not go above 30 °C, even though a higher source temperature is specified on the tune page
• The cartridge heater assembly (700001201) was replaced, but still no change
• "Source Fuse" LED is lit on the Source PCB.

ENVIRONMENT

• QTof Premier
• MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

Fuse F1 on the source connector PCB has blown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Put system into pump override.
2. Turn off electronics breaker.
3. Remove fuse F1 and replace it.
4. Turn on electronics breaker and test system.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Refer to the service note "FIRMWARE: Source heater fuse blowing - new Source PCB firmware (Issue J)". It is very important to know what firmware and fuse are being used. An incorrect pairing could cause source meltdown.
