Vion fails mass calibration - WKB16314

SYMPTOMS

• Mass calibration fails
• Fluidics were purged multiple times
• The beam intensity is stable
• No ions or minimal ions are observed above 1,000 when infusing major mix in positive ion mode

ENVIRONMENT

• Vion
• UNIFI

CAUSE

The major mix calibration solution has degraded.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Prepare fresh major mix (186008113 - Major Mix Tof/IMS Calibration Kit).
