SYMPTOMS

• Low area counts on SIR analysis
• Calibration is valid

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector

CAUSE

Ion source components require cleaning.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Clean the sample cone and ion block in accordance with the source maintenance instructions found in the Overview and Maintenance Guide.
2. Run samples to confirm that system sensitivity is as expected.
