PAL 3 system randomly pauses when using the Xevo TQ-GC - WKB119605

SYMPTOMS

• Xevo GC/PAL 3 system pauses randomly—two or three injections run, and then instrument pauses
• CTC Pal status is missing from inlet editor

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-GC
• CTC PAL 3

CAUSE

Communication issues    

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Shut down MassLynx.
2. Power-off CTC PAL 3.
3. Reboot the PC.
4. Reboot the Xevo GC.
5. Power-on CTC PAL.
6. Wait 2-3 min for GC and PAL to initialize.
7. Launch MassLynx.
8. Load the inlet method editor and confirm that both GC and CTC PAL modules are present.
9. Launch the Tune page and check Xevo TQ-GC and GC operation.
10. Test the system.
