CM-AUX cannot be activated in the system - WKB96040

SYMPTOMS

• CM-AUX cannot be activated in the system; option is dimmed (unavailable) in the console

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• MassLynx
• ACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class

CAUSE

Column manager is in advanced mode.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Set the Column Manager to column select mode.
2. Add CM-AUX to the configuration in the console.
3. Power-cycle the system.
4. Verify that CM-AUX is working and that the additional columns are present in the console.
5. Set the Column Manager back to advanced mode.
