Under Analyst control, ACQUITY UPLC is stuck waiting for injection - WKB9509

SYMPTOMS

• As a sample list is submitted, the nanoACQUITY is ready but the injection does not start
• No errors are present in Console
• At times, one or two injections may proceed successfully before eventually stalling
• Instrument runs fine under Standalone Console
• Setting Windows UAC to "never notify" does not resolve the issue
• Firewall is disabled
• Windows and Analyst software recently updated

• Analyst 1.63 or 1.7.x
• nanoACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY UPLC M-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• M-Class Driver Pack 1.55
• March 2011 nanoACQUITY driver pack
• Driver Pack 2019 Release 1

CAUSE

Corrupt ACQUITY drivers

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Uninstall the current drivers.
2. Reload the drivers from the appropriate media.
3. Verify that system runs consistently.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note that the 1.55 Driver Pack was tested with Analyst 1.62.

A reimage of the PC to clear the registry may be necessary if reinstalling ICS alone does not resolve the issue.
