"System Idle - Instrument Failure W15xx" error when flow is applied on a 1515 Isocratic HPLC Pump - WKB94894

SYMPTOMS

• "System Idle - Instrument Failure W15xx" error when flow is applied.
• System goes quickly to >4000 psi.

ENVIRONMENT

• 1515 Isocratic HPLC Pump

CAUSE

• Overpressure causing the system to shut down.
• Clog in line found from Manual Injector to Column (port 3 on the back of the manual injector).

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Back flush tubing to release the clog.
2. Refit tubing.
3. Confirm that flow can be applied without overpressure error.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the clog cannot be flushed out, replace manual injector to column tubing (700001166)
