SYMPTOMS

• Error: Sample syringe H/W lost steps
• Error appears at first injection after Purge

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY Arc Sample Manager FTN-R
• ACQUITY APC Sample Manager - FTN
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle PLUS (SM-FTN PLUS)

CAUSE

• Waste valve is clogged

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace Inline Waste Valve (410003180)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Since the Arc does not have a sample pressure transducer there is no error message for high sample pressure. This usually would be the case for an H-Class or I-Class SM-FTN but in rare occasions the error will be for lost steps instead
