OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Locate the 3.0-volt battery on the CPU 2000 and test it. (When battery voltage is low, the serial number is erased every time the detector loses power.)

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC
  • ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector
  • ACQUITY UPLC Tunable UV Detector

PROCEDURE

  1. Remove the battery to test the voltage.
  2. The positive and negative test spots are located on the underside of the battery. These test spots are on the side opposite the Pin 1 location marker.
  3. Use a multimeter to check battery voltage.
  4. If voltage is less than 2.8 V, replace the battery.
