On an Alliance 2695, will translucent vial caps cause the instrument to skip a vial while running a sample set? - WKB90939

Article number: 90939

ENVIRONMENT

  • Alliance 2695
  • Translucent vial caps

ANSWER

Yes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Alliance 2695 uses an electric eye that shoots a beam of light to determine if a vial is present. If the beam is broken, a vial is present. If the cap allows light to pass through it, the beam is not broken, and the Alliance believes no vial is present.

For additional information, see Section 1.3.5, "Vial presence", of the Alliance e2695 Separations Module Operator’s Guide.
