Gradient Start Delay does not work on H-Class system with ISM and QDa - WKB8884

SYMPTOMS

• Gradient Start Delay set in the instrument method (for QSM) does not function as expected; whether setting it before or after injection, or specifying a volume vs. specifying a time

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class system comprising:
  • QSM
  • SM-FTN
  • CM
  • PDA
  • QDa
  • ISM

CAUSE

ACQ-ISM set as the Primary Flow Source in the ACQUITY Console. This setting is found by highlighting the system in the left-hand pane of the ACQUITY Console and then selecting from the Configure menu > Primary Flow Source.

FIX or WORKAROUND

In the ACQUITY Console, change the Primary Flow Source setting to the ACQ-QSM.
