With 2695 module and 2489 UV/Vis detector, peak area of the target component varies, but the peak area of the simultaneously measured IS does not - WKB87731

Article number: 87731

SYMPTOMS

  • The peak area of the target component varies, even though the peak area of the simultaneously measured IS does not
  • No problem with the retention time and the peak shape
  • Mobile phase contains ion-pairing reagent and is premixed
  • No sample preparation issues

ENVIRONMENT

  • 2695 Separations Module
  • 2489 UV/Vis Detector

CAUSE

Column condition changes due to continued use with the same mobile phase composition.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. If you have another column of the same type, use it to measure and see if it solves the problem.
  2. If there is no other column of the same type, try cleaning the column.
