No pressure on ACQUITY UPLC SM-FTN when injection valve is in inject position - WKB86773

SYMPTOMS

• No pressure when FTN sample manager is in inject position
• Normal pressure when in load position
• Solvent Manager (QSM) leak tests pass

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
• ACQUITY Arc SM-FTN

CAUSE

The sample needle is not properly positioned in the needle carriage and does not seal on the needle seal when the SM-FTN is in inject position.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Inspect for damage to the needle and seal and replace as necessary.
