SYMPTOMS
- Alliance 2695 message: stroke volume max is 0.53 mL/min when setting flow to 1.0 mL/min.
ENVIRONMENT
- Alliance HPLC System
- 2695 Separations Module
- 2795 Separations Module
CAUSE
Stroke volume not set properly on the 2695 Alliance.
FIX or WORKAROUND
Method 1: Panel operation
- In 2695 panel, click Develop Methods on the Main Page
- Click New in the new window to create a new method, then click Edit.
- Click on Strk Vol Seal Wsh to set the appropriate stroke volume, click OK
- Set the correct stroke volume (see table below):
Method 2: Software operation
Open the instrument method, under the General tab of the 2695 module, find the Stroke Volume and select the appropriate stroke volume from its drop-down menu.
