Carryover and poor peak shape - WKB80959

SYMPTOMS

• Carryover for some compounds in a DOA method (Temazepam and Oxazepam).
• Poor peak shape and tailing for the same compounds.

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-S
• ACQUITY I-Class FTN

CAUSE

The column was either overloaded with background dirt from previous samples or contained something from other methods that affected the retention of these compounds in particular.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace column.
