ACQUITY UPLC "Wash syringe h/w lost steps" error - WKB80589

SYMPTOMS

• When priming the wash syringes, the error "Wash syringe h/w lost steps (-591*)" error appears.

*Note: the number will vary.

• Resetting and powering-off the module does not clear the error.

ENVIRONMENT

ACQUITY UPLC

CAUSE

The wash syringe drive timing belt is frayed/worn.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the timing belt (410001324) or the entire wash syringe drive assembly (700002567) if a motor alignment issue is thought to be the cause of the belt damage.
