SYMPTOMS
- Needle seal characterization passed with value less than 3 N/mm
- Needle\Seal move exceeds limit (5.0) error during needle seal readiness test
ENVIRONMENT
- ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
- ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle PLUS (SM-FTN PLUS)
- ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
CAUSE
The part holding the needle in position on the needle carriage (labeled "latch" below) is loose and is not able to lock the needle in position as it moves down into the injection port.
FIX or WORKAROUND
Tighten the small hex bolt that holds the part/plate in place.
