SYMPTOMS

• Console displays communication error.
• 2489 UV/VIS detector LCD panel displays "Ethernet cable was disconnected".
• No loss of power or lamp failure.
• Switch box stop and restart randomly

ENVIRONMENT

2489 UV/Vis Detector

CAUSE

Check for loose Ethernet connection.

Faulty switch box.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Reseat Ethernet cable and reset communication.

Replace switch box. (Part number: 725000561)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

To confirm that ethernet switch box is faulty, connect ethernet cable from detector directly to computer. If there is communication, replace switch box.
