PCRM RXN1000 coil leakage - WKB77450

SYMPTOMS

• The RXN1000 coil leaks
• Poor Chromatography
• No or weak reaction peak detected

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC system
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class

CAUSE

The RXN Coil 1000 internal tubing ruptured due to clog or overpressure in Post Column Reaction Module (PCRM) tubing, or tubing/flow cell downstream from Rxn Coil.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the stainless tube between the RXN1000 Coil outlet and the PCRM outlet, if obstruction if found.
2. Replace RXN1000 Coil;(Part Number: WAT030844) if ruptured
3. Set the high pressure of the RM at 1200 psi to protect the RXN1000 coil.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Pressure of 2475 flow cell is 130 psi
• Pressure of the PEEK tubing between the PCRM outlet and the 2475 flow cell is 45 psi-
