2998 communication failure - WKB75932

SYMPTOMS

• Communication failure error message appears in ACQUITY Console
• Two green lights on front panel

ENVIRONMENT

• 2998 Photodiode Array Detector
• Empower 3
• LAC/E32

CAUSE

Loss of communication between software, PC, and 2998 PDA Detector

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Log out of Empower.
2. Restart the PC.
3. Log back in to Empower. 
4. Confirm that communications are established.
