SYMPTOMS
- After moving the system to a new location, the system will not communicate with the PC
- The Avocent card can be pinged, but the system cannot
ENVIRONMENT
- Agilent 6890 Gas Chromatographer
- Empower 3
- Avocent hub
CAUSE
System configuration using the wrong port of the Avocent card
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Delete system.
- Set all ports to "none".
- Restart the GC.
- Restart the PC.
- Set the correct port.
- Recreate the system.
