Alliance 2695 with 2487 high pressure with column - WKB70001

SYMPTOMS

• High pressure during flow (around 4,000 psi)
• Disconnecting the column outlet tubing causes the pressure to drop

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module
• 2487 Dual-Wavelength Absorbance Detector
• 2489 UV/Vis Detector
• Use of phosphate buffer on system

CAUSE

Clog in flow cell

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Reverse flush flow cell.
2. Follow the Cleaning Procedure on Page 20, Table 1, cleaning condition 3 in Controlling Contamination in LC/MS Systems - Best Practices (715001307)
