SYMPTOMS

• 2695 plunger homing fault (0) or (1) at initialization
• Problem occurs after running buffer through the system

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC system
• 2695 Separations Module
• Buffer
• Normal phase

CAUSE

The primary pump could not home; possible buildup of buffer salts

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Vent the system (open the vent valve) and reboot the system.
2. Prime and flush the system with water or compatible solvent.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If high pressure is observed, replace the in-line filter (WAT088084).
