"Gas pressure too low" on ACQUITY ELS detector - WKB68355

SYMPTOMS

• "Gas pressure too low" error in the ACQUITY Console
• Incoming gas pressure reads 100 psi, which is okay
• No leaks detected
• Reboot and reset does not clear the error

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC ELS Detector

CAUSE

The gas pressure has fallen below 103 kPa (1.03 bar, 15 psi) or is more than 14 kPa (0.14 bar, 2 psi) below the set point.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Manually specify a value of 40 in the Console (see screenshot below).
2. Reset ELS in the Console.
